Who we are

Vizdale Tools (tools.vizdale.com) is run by Vizdale. For anything on this page, including exercising your rights, write to hello@vizdale.com. That address also serves as our grievance contact.

What we never receive

Every tool runs in your browser using your own device. When you open a PDF, compress a photo, record your screen, scan text or generate a password, that work happens locally and the result is saved locally. None of it is sent to Vizdale, and we could not see it if we wanted to.

We do not have accounts, so we hold no names, emails or passwords for you.

The exceptions, stated plainly

A few features need something from outside your device. Your files still stay on your device in every case below, but the third party does see a normal web request from your browser (your IP address and browser type).

• Background Remover downloads its AI model and library code (about 50 MB, once) from IMG.LY’s servers (staticimgly.com) and jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net). Your image is processed on your device and is not sent to them.
• Speech & Voice: text-to-speech runs on your device. Dictation (speech-to-text) uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition. In Chrome and Edge, the browser sends that audio to Google’s or Microsoft’s servers to transcribe it. That is the browser’s behaviour, governed by their privacy policies, and the tool labels it on the page.
• Website hosting: this site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Analytics (only if you say yes)

If you accept analytics in the banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits: which pages and tools are opened, roughly where from (country or city), the device and browser type, and how you arrived. It sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart. It never receives your files or anything you type into a tool, and we strip the part of the address after “#”.

With the same consent we also load Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, and the page layout) so we can find confusing or broken parts of a tool. Everything inside a tool is masked before it is recorded, so Clarity never sees your files, what you type, or the results. It sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart.

If you decline, or ignore the banner, neither Google Analytics nor Clarity is loaded at all. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

What is stored on your device

Some tools remember your work between visits using your browser’s local storage: Markdown Editor, Certificate Generator, Resume Builder, and Password Generator (encrypted, only if you save a password). We also remember your analytics choice. This data never leaves your browser. Use “Clear my data” at the top of any tool page, or clear site data in your browser settings, to remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU and UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or erase personal data about you, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a regulator. Because we do not receive your files and do not run accounts, the only personal data connected to Vizdale Tools is the analytics data described above, held by Google and Microsoft on our behalf if you opted in. Children

These tools are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If what leaves your device ever changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top moves. We will not quietly start uploading files.
